Brian Michael Prior

Brian Michael Prior was born in Dublin Hospital on December 21st, 1967 to Josie (nee McHugh) and Jim Joe Prior. He attended school at Tullyveela Primary School, County Cavan and Ballinamore Secondary School, County Leitrim. He immigrated to America in 1997 and shortly thereafter he met the love of his life, Kathleen Rowland, in 1999. They were married on May 12, 2003. They settled in the Bronx working hard amongst a community of incredible friends, many becoming like family. Brian and Kathleen enjoyed life and traveling, always meeting new people along the way. Brian was Kathleen's best friend.

Brian was a hard working man. He worked hard and played hard. Shortly after arriving to New York, he started working in the construction industry. He would be there for anybody and helped many people along the way, never turning anyone away who needed help. The door to Kathleen and Brian's home is always open. Oh, except if you are Henry the boxer.

On September 23, 2021 he passed from a massive heart attack. Brian is predeceased by his parents, Josie (nee McHugh) and Jim Joe Prior. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and their 10 year old Beagle, Sport, his 7 brothers and 7 sisters in-laws Gerard and Kathleen (nee McHugh), Paddy and Breege (nee Toher), Seamus and Mary (nee McGirl), Sean and Mary (nee O'Brien) Damien and Ellen (nee O'Brien) Raymond and Elaine (nee McGoldrick) and Paul and Imelda (nee Mcguckian) and 15 nieces and nephews all in Ireland, and numerous cousins in America, including the Foley's and the Ford's, and Kathleen's family in Ireland, sisters Carmel Seery, Vera Cattigan and Anita Gough and brothers Tony and Patrick.

Kathleen Prior wants to thank the many amazing friends and family who have helped her through this difficult time.

Brian will be waked from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pelham Funeral Home 64 Lincoln Ave, Village of Pelham, NY 10803 on September 27, 2021.

The church service on September 28, 2021 will be held at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 409 East 241st Street, Bronx, New York 10470 at 9:30 AM.
