Interment Mrs. Kennett's Ashes will be place at Christ Church in Pelham Manor, with interment service at 4:00pm this Saturday, February 2, 2013. All friends are welcome.

Audrey Elisabeth Bobillier "Bobbie" Kennett, a longtime resident of Pelham, died on January 24, 2013 at the Dumont Nursing Home in New Rochelle. She was 89.
She was born in Quincy, IL in 1923 and adopted the nickname "Bobbie" as a young woman.
She traveled as a dancer all over the USA, touring with the Nick Castle Dancers. She performed at major nightclubs including the Florentine Gardens in Las Vegas, NV. Mrs. Kennett met her late husband, James Edward Kennett, owner and publisher of The Pelham Sun, in 1947. They settled down to live in Pelham and had two boys and two girls. She became active in the Girl Scouts and also choreographed many shows for The Manor Club in Pelham Manor. She was also a member of the Ziegfeld Club in New York City. During the 1960s she was an active volunteer in the American Red Cross. From 1974 to 1976 she was a balloon pilot.
During the 1970s, she pursued further schooling and received her BS and RN degrees in 1980. She worked as a psychiatric nurse in several local hospitals including United Hospital in Port Chester and St. Vincent's Hospital in Harrison, NY. She retired in 1998.
Mrs. Kennett supported many charities including Native American Indians, Covenant House and several drug rehabilitation programs. She sponsored a nursing scholarship at Pelham Memorial High School in her daughter Kerry's name. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kerry Kennett.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas M. Kennett II, Armond B. Kennett, and one daughter, Tina J. Kennett and by two grandchildren, Joseph M. Sullivan and Robert F. Sullivan.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Covenant House, 460 W 41st St. New York, NY 10036.
