Angelina Polico

Angelina Polico of New Rochelle passed away on Wednesday, March 4th; she was 102 years old. Angelina was born in Andretta (Avellino), Italy to Frank and Lucia Accocella. The oldest of three children, she came to the Untied States when she was 16 years old. The family moved to the Bronx where she would live until she married her husband, Louis Polico.

Angelina and Louis would move to Mt. Vernon, NY where they would raise their three children: Michael, Louis and Corrine. Although she had various jobs throughout her life, her most valued was that of wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Angelina is pre-deceased by her husband, Louis as well as her sons Michael and Louis. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Corrine, her 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grand child.

A Celebration of Angelina's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 6th.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 7th, Holy Family Church in New Rochelle.
