Angela Marie Scarano

Angela Marie Scarano of Pelham, NY, passed away on February 11, 2016. She was 96 years old. Angela was born to Rosario and Marie LaSelva in Waterbury, CT and began work at an early age. Following a passion and talent for fashion and design, she worked as a self-employed seamstress. Over the course of her career, she would design and create countless custom wedding gowns.

She met her husband, Thomas Scarano, through a mutual friend and together they would raise their family of three children in Pelham. Angela was a homebody who loved cooking and caring for her family.

Angela is predeceased by her husband, Thomas, her grandson, Sean Chmielewski and great-grandson, Joshua Hedges. She is survived by her children, Concetta (Ted) Chmielewski, Thomas, and Anthony (Ellen). She will be missed by her granddaughter, Cheryl (Daniel) Hedges, and great-grandchildren, Angela, Sean and Meagan.

A celebration of Angela's life will take place on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm at Pelham Funeral Home, with a service beginning at 6:00pm. Interment will take place on Tuesday, February 16 at 11:00am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.
