Andrew F. Hanson of Pelham Manor, New York passed away suddenly on April 1st, 2016. He was 54 years old. Born in Peoria, IL to John and Kathryn Hanson, he was one of four siblings when the family moved from the mid-west to Pelham Manor in 1971.

Working tirelessly for days on end after the attacks, Andrew was at Ground Zero and helped dig through the destruction to retrieve survivors or obtain closure for families of the missing.
Andrew is predeceased by his mother, Kathryn Hanson. He is survived by his father, John Hanson, Sr. and his siblings: John Hanson, Jr. of New Rochelle, Mark Hanson of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Linda (Hanson) Monaco of Westfield, New Jersey. He will be greatly missed by seven nieces and nephews.
